️ DECLARATION: THE RETURN OF HA NKOKOTO ️
I am Morena Sebobane II, of the Royal House of Morake wa Sebobane I — descendants of Makgolokwe a Mafehleng, under Morena Nkokoto, the ruler of Bahlakoana ba Nkokoto and Bakwena ba Nkokoto.
Our ancestors lived at Thaba Tsho Tsho, today called Deneysville.
What remains of our once vibrant village is now the Gawie De Beer Nature Reserve.
Our land, once called Ha Nkokoto, is today renamed Metsimaholo Local Municipality.
For over 1000 years, our people — the Bahlakoana, Bakwena, Bafokeng, Batloung, Batlokoa, Bakubung and Makgolokwe a Mafehleng from 1830 — thrived here,
until they were violently dispossessed by the Voortrekkers from 1836 to 1902.
In 2021, I returned to revive the Kingdom of Morena Nkokoto and restore the dignity of the chiefdoms that lived under his rule.
As we march toward the 2026 Local Government Elections, we raise the ancient cry that was born from our pain:
REFENG KGOTSO — GIVE US PEACE.
We are not armed with spears or guns.
Today, we are armed with the Constitution of South Africa and the Land Expropriation Act.
Yet, we remain divided by party politics, while our land lies in the hands of others.
The land was not taken from politicians.
It was taken from Marena and Sechaba.
It must be restored to them — with everything on it.
I searched for a political home that recognizes this truth.
I found it in the MK Party, which respects Marena and Sechaba as the rightful heirs, not adversaries.
Our voice in the MK Party will rise through the Ha Nkokoto Indigenous Council,
made up of the elders of Bahlakoana, Bakwena (Makgwakgwa), Bafokeng, Batloung, Batlokoa, Makgolokwe a Mafehleng, and Bakubung ba Phiritona.
These elders must stand for election, occupy council positions, and lead not as politicians — but as rightful custodians of the land. Ha Nkokoto Indigenous Council will form an alliance with the MK Party, Lerumo La Sechaba to deliver services, restore dignity, and rebuild our economy through land, manufacturing, and new industries. They will lead the restoration of dignity, land, jobs, and hope.
️ The Ha Nkokoto Indigenous Council is NOT a tribal council.
It is the revival of our ancient, indigenous governance — born long before 1836.

️ Let us unite.
️ Let us rebuild.
️ Let us take back what is rightfully ours.
REFENG KGOTSO — GIVE US PEACE.
GIVE US BACK OUR LAND.
GIVE US BACK OUR FUTURE.
